Day 1: Australia/Singapore/Phnom Penh
Board Singapore Airlines flight to Phnom Penh via Singapore. On arrival, transfer to hotel for 2 nights.
Day 2: Phnom Penh
Today we tour the capital city of Cambodia, including the Royal Palace & Silver Pagoda, the Central & Russian Markets and Wat Phnom for sunset views. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Phnom Penh/Siem Reap
After breakfast, departure transfer to board domestic flight to Siem Reap. On arrival, transfer to hotel for 3 nights. This afternoon we visit some highlights on the ‘little circuit’ and enjoy sunset views over Angkor Wat. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Siem Reap/Angkor
Today we enjoy sunrise views over Angkor Wat before visiting the intricately carved Banteay Srei and Banteay Samre. After lunch, we tour Angkor Wat with its 800-m long bas-reliefs. Evening dinner & classical dance show at Apsara Theatre in Angkor village. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Siem Reap/Angkor
Today we visit some of the outstanding sites in the fortified city of Angkor Thom including the Victory Gate, Bayon, Baphuon and the Terrace of Elephants. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Siem Reap/HCMC (Vietnam)
Morning at leisure. Departure transfer to board flight to Ho Chi Minh City (also known as Saigon). On arrival our National Escort will greet us and transfer us to our hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7: Cu Chi Tunnels
This morning we explore Ho Chi Minh City visiting the Reunification Hall and the major attractions along Nguyen Hue Boulevard. After lunch we visit the famous Cu Chi tunnels used by the Viet Cong during the war. Overnight at hotel in HCMC.
Day 8: HCMC/Mekong Delta
Today we leave HCMC for Cantho where experience daily life on the mighty Mekong River! On arrival in Cantho, transfer to hotel and check in for 1 night.
Day 9: Mekong Delta/HCMC
After breakfast we board our tour boat on the Mekong River at Mytho, visiting the bustling Cai Rang floating market. After lunch, we return to HCMC via the Dong Tam Snake Farm. Overnight at hotel in HCMC.
Day 10: HCMC/Dalat
Today after breakfast we drive to Dalat for 2 nights with sightseeing stops at Langa fish farm & Bao Loc Mountain Pass. Afternoon arrive at Dalat, a former resort area for wealthy Europeans during the French occupation. Evening at leisure; overnight at hotel.
Day 11: Dalat
After breakfast we explore Emperor Bao Dai’s Summer Palace and visit the vibrant Dalat market and Xuan Huong Lake. After lunch we visit Thuyen Lam Lake & Truc Lam Pagoda. Dinner and overnight in Dalat.
Day 12: Dalat/Nha Trang
Today after breakfast we proceed to Nha Trang, a popular beach destination. After lunch, we explore islands around Nha Trang by boat and visit a local fishing village on foot. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Nha Trang/Hoi An
After breakfast, transfer to the domestic airport for flight to Danang. Drive to Hoi An and check into hotel for 3 nights, Hoi An is a beautiful historic town brimming with shops, galleries and temples. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14: Hoi An
After breakfast, we visit the Japanese Covered Bridge and ancient Chinese and Japanese merchant houses. This evening you are welcome to join a cooking class. Overnight at hotel.
Day 15: Hoi An
Day at leisure to explore, shop or relax. Lunch and dinner at local restaurants. Overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Hoi An/Hue
After breakfast, drive to Hue with en route sightseeing at Cham Museum. On arrival in Hue, check in to hotel for 1 night. After lunch explore this imperial city including the Citadel and Dong Khanh Mausoleum. Overnight at hotel.
Day 17: Hue/ Hanoi
After breakfast, we board our own colourful dragon boat to cruise the Perfume River, stopping at Thien Mu Pagoda and Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb. Afternoon transfer to the airport to board flight to Hanoi. On arrival transfer to hotel & spend evening at leisure in Hanoi. Overnight at hotel.
Day 18: Hanoi/Ninh Binh/Hanoi
After breakfast we drive to Ninh Binh to discover an inland version of Halong Bay! At Hua Lu, we visit Dinh King and Le King temples. After lunch, we board row boats to explore a cave complex set amidst wonderful scenery. Afterwards we return to Hanoi. Overnight at hotel.
Day 19: Hanoi
This morning we visit the complex containing Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum & a museum celebrating his life. Afterwards, tour the One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house and the Temple of Literature. After lunch at a specialty restaurant, we set off on a sightseeing tour around Hanoi, including the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple. We end the day with a cyclo (rickshaw) tour. Overnight at hotel.
Day 20: Hanoi/Halong Bay
After breakfast, transfer to Halong Bay where we board our tour boat. Feast on a seafood lunch while meandering amongst the magnificent limestone pinnacles jutting from the bay. Overnight on boat.
Day 21: Halong Bay/Hanoi
After lunch we disembark and drive back to Hanoi. After dinner, enjoy the amusing antics of Vietnamese water puppets. Overnight at hotel.
Day 22-23: Hanoi/Singapore/Australia
After breakfast, departure transfer to the airport to board flight to Australia via Singapore. Arrive home the following day filled with happy memories of mystical Indochina.
